Detail Worthy of the Work
Fitz Auto Detailing
Connor learned his craft from one of the best in the business. What he didn't have was a brand that reflected that. When we started working together he had a handful of word-of-mouth clients and no visual identity. By the time we finished, he had a brand with as much personality and precision as the work he puts into every car — and a client base he could turn on and off like a tap.

Problem
Fitz Auto Detailing existed in name only. Connor had real skill — trained by an established professional with years of experience — but nothing communicating that to potential clients. No logo, no identity, no way to stand out in a market where every competitor used the same premium sports cars and chrome finishes to signal quality. He was invisible to the clients he actually wanted to serve and entirely dependent on personal referrals to stay busy.
Challenge
The first logo concept I presented wasn't right. Instead of pushing forward with refinements, I went back to the beginning — asking Connor about what mattered to him, what cars he loved, what kind of work he wanted to be known for. What came out of that conversation was unexpected and exactly right. Connor's passion for vintage vehicles — particularly his retro Jeep — pointed toward a direction no competitor in his market was occupying. A retro-modern identity that honored the craft and history of detailing while feeling fresh and distinctly his. The challenge was executing that direction without it feeling like a costume — making sure the vintage aesthetic was specific enough to feel authentic and ownable rather than generic.

Solution
The identity was built around an illustrated vintage Jeep mark — personal to Connor and immediately differentiated in the market. The irregular shape of the mark was drawn from design language of the era his Jeep was built, giving it an authentic period feel. Buffalo Nickel script was chosen for the Fitz lettering — distinctive, bold, and deeply tied to the retro aesthetic. Roboto Slab provided a grounded secondary typeface suited to the Northern and Southern Utah communities Connor serves — dependable, clean, approachable. The full system was designed for real-world application from the start — business cards, vehicle vinyl, signage, social media, and service pricing PDFs. Every deliverable was designed to work together as a cohesive brand experience that could grow with the business. Since launching the Fitz Auto Detailing brand, Connor has gone from a handful of word-of-mouth clients to controlling his own demand. When he puts effort into his marketing and brand presence, new clients come quickly. His client base has diversified from one-time details into recurring monthly relationships — a direct reflection of the trust the brand communicates. Connor now operates across Northern and Southern Utah and continues to grow as he invests more into the brand foundation we built together.
